General Terms and Conditions (GTC) – Riad Manoury
Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the contractual relationship between Manoury Ventures S.A.R.L. (hereinafter “Riad Manoury” or “we”) and the guest (hereinafter “Guest” or “you”) for the rental of the entire Riad, including all associated services.
They apply to all bookings, regardless of whether they are made directly via our website, via the Lodgify booking platform, via connected distribution channels (e.g., Airbnb), or through other authorized partners.
By completing a booking, you acknowledge these GTC as binding.
Conclusion of Contract
The contract between Riad Manoury and the Guest is concluded upon receipt of the booking confirmation, which the Guest receives by email or via the respective booking portal.
Booking Channels and External Partners
Bookings can be made via our website or the Lodgify booking platform. Lodgify may be connected to external booking channels (e.g., Airbnb).
For bookings made through these channels, the respective terms and conditions and policies of the platform used also apply, particularly regarding payment processing, cancellation deadlines, and service fees.
Prices
All prices are stated in euros (EUR), unless expressly indicated otherwise. They apply per overnight stay and include:
Airport transfer
Breakfast for all booked guests
Daily cleaning of the Riad
Use of certain amenities as described in the property listing
Complimentary Airport Transfer
As a non-binding additional service, we arrange an airport transfer to/from Marrakesh Airport (RAK) for our guests upon request. This service is provided exclusively by an independent, licensed transport company.
Riad Manoury acts solely as an intermediary and is not a contractual party to the transfer service. We cover the full cost of the transfer as a complimentary service (“goodie”) for our guests.
Riad Manoury accepts no liability for the execution, punctuality, quality, safety, or fulfillment of the transfer service, except where mandatory legal provisions apply. Liability for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health, as well as for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct, remains unaffected.
The terms and conditions of the respective transport company apply exclusively to the transfer service and will be made available upon request.
An alternative pick-up or drop-off address can be arranged as an additional paid service by prior agreement.
Additional Services
In addition to the services included in the price, guests can book optional extras (e.g., coffee flat rate, fitness add-ons, hammam add-on, private transfers) for an additional fee.
Manoury Experiences
We also offer the arrangement of Manoury Experiences – activities, excursions, or experiences provided by carefully selected external partners.
Riad Manoury assumes no liability for the execution, quality, safety, or fulfillment of these external services; only the terms and conditions of the respective providers apply.
Payment Terms
Payment Processing
Payment is made via the payment methods indicated in our booking system, currently in particular:
Payyo (via Lodgify)
PayPal
Other payment options displayed during the booking process
Payment Currency
All prices are displayed in euros (EUR) on the booking platform. Guests booking via connected payment providers such as Payyo may – depending on technical availability – make their payment in another local currency (Dynamic Currency Conversion). In this case, the payment provider carries out the currency conversion based on the current daily exchange rate, possibly including a conversion fee.
Responsibility for the applied exchange rate and any additional fees lies solely with the payment provider. Riad Manoury has no influence over this and accepts no liability for it.
Payment Deadline
Unless otherwise agreed, the total amount is due immediately upon booking.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in: from 3:00 p.m.
Check-out: until 11:00 a.m.
A later check-out or earlier check-in is only possible with prior written confirmation from management.
Luggage storage before check-in or after check-out is only possible upon request and subject to availability.
Cancellation and No-Show
The following cancellation terms apply to direct bookings:
Up to 30 days before arrival: free cancellation
29 to 15 days before arrival: 50% of the total price
14 to 8 days before arrival: 80% of the total price
From 7 days before arrival or in case of no-show: 100% of the total price
For bookings via external platforms (e.g., Airbnb), their cancellation policies apply.
Use of the Riad and House Rules
The house rules form part of these GTC and are accepted upon booking. They regulate in particular:
Use of communal and private areas
Security and access (key management, locking doors and windows)
Staff’s authority to give instructions
Requirement of management’s consent for certain uses (e.g., external guests in the house, open flames indoors)
Conduct regarding safety, fire protection, and nighttime quiet
Violations of the house rules may result in immediate expulsion from the premises without refund of amounts already paid.
Liability
Riad Manoury is only liable for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent behavior. We accept no liability for loss of or damage to the guest’s property, including items in rooms, in the safe, or in stored luggage.
Special Safety Regulations
Accessing glass surfaces (e.g., glass roof of the terrace), walls, or non-accessible roofs is strictly prohibited.
Access to or use of certain areas (e.g., hammam, fitness room) is only permitted after prior instruction by staff.
In case of violation and resulting damage, the guest is fully liable.
Video Surveillance
In certain publicly accessible areas of Riad Manoury (e.g., entrance area, patio, communal spaces), video surveillance is carried out for security purposes. Recordings are viewed exclusively by the management and only in the event of a security incident (e.g., burglary, vandalism). By confirming your booking, you agree to the Riad Manoury Privacy Policy, which contains further information – in particular regarding retention periods and your rights as a data subject.
Changes to Services
Riad Manoury is entitled to offer equivalent substitute services if an agreed service cannot be provided for reasons beyond our control.
Force Majeure
In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, official orders), Riad Manoury may terminate the contract. In such cases, there is no entitlement to compensation.
Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
The law of the Kingdom of Morocco applies. Place of jurisdiction is Marrakech, insofar as legally permissible.
Severability Clause
Should individual provisions of these GTC be wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
